A sign I needed a day off of work....
Ok, this story is more of a result of living in New Mexico for a year, but either way, very funny....
So Sharon comes back from lunch today with Chick-fil-a, and I can feel my eyes get bigger. It seems like an eternity since I've been there, and out of nowhere I was craving it. So, my lunch comes around, and I wanted to go to Barnes and Noble, which happens to be right next door, so I figured I could just get some food and take it back to work and eat it there. So I get to Chick-fil-a, and there is a gigantically long line of cars, and very few of them parked, so I decide to not be lazy and actually get out of my car to walk five feet to get my fast food. So I go in and tell the nice guy that I would like a chicken nugget meal with lemonade. He proceeds to take my money, get my drink, and hand my my bag of food. As he is doing this he says what I believe to be "Como estas?" Now, I'm sure I had a very confused look on my face seeing as how I am done with needing his services, but I have lived in New Mexico for a year, and people there do strange stuff such as this, so I wipe away the look and reply, "I'm fine thanks, how are you." He says something I don't remember, I turn, grab some napkins and leave. I get into my car, eat a waffle fry, and as I'm doing so, still thinking of what just occurred, I realize...he didn't say "Como estas?" , he said "Would you like any sauce?". Having realized this and realizing that he probably thinks I needed to be in a straight jacket somewhere, I drive away thinking I'm going to have to start going to the other Chick-fil-a...
In the words of Gee....I am looney, and very entertaining on a slow Thursday afternoon.....
